Sunrise           05:25               Sunset               21:13 Another dry start to a showery day forecast. The last few days has seen lots of work done on the path around the pond and the bed infested with the allium triquetrum. This is hard going because it has not been attempted for some years. The white Lilac has come into bloom. The old Bramley apple trees have come into real bloom for the first time since their major pruning a few years ago.

Sunrise          05:41               Sunset               20:59 The weather is still cold. I finished repairing the stream connected to the pond. I used a reinforced butyl product called "Roof". It is supposed to give 20 years protection and be completely waterproof. It has done a good job and at first running of the pump, no water seemed to be lost. I hope a success, time will tell. Gary came today with Niamh and Ruraidh with a present for Alison, a delayed birthday gift. It is a lovely planted pot of flowers with Ivy, Busy Lizzies and Cineraria. I did a lot of transplanting seedlings today. Chilies, Sweet peppers and  Blue Poppy   (Meconopsis). These were seedlings got from Fergus during the winter. The forecast is for rain tomorrow, it is overdue. The temperature is still cold for the time of year.

I did a little work around the pond today and the wild garlic area.  Alison planted some White Foxgloves from a seed tray into individual pots. We took some more Dianthus cuttings from an over grown plant from last year. These cuttings will give a good display later in the year.
