A reasonable morning, after overnight rain, it is drying up.

I spent the morning doing a bit of running around. I got some bark for doing my paths. I came home and put them onto the paths in the veg garden. The paths are looking good now.

I bought some Gentiana Verna seeds recently, so I planted them in a seed tray and put them into the greenhouse. These are the normal Blue Gentian that are seen growing wild, especially in the Burren in Co. Clare. It will be interesting to see what I get.

The rest of the day had dried up, but the forecast was for rain and wind overnight, by the time I was going in the wind was rising.

Sunrise          06:27          Sunset          20:20 An eventful day in the Knockdene garden today. I picked up the rest of the 400mm  flagstones needed for the garden changes. Then I picked up Jayden and the work started.  We set out the line of the new paths and started cutting the sods. Jayden was very good and had the job done before lunch. We had picked up some quarry dust on the way back from getting Jayden so as he cut the sods I came behind laying the path. We worked together and by 16:00 we had most of the path laid. Just a little more to do tomorrow. Pictures of the work below. We put some cardboard onto of the grass as we moved along so that we can make a no dig bed.

Sunrise          06:12          Sunset 18:46 Another good dry start to the day. I went this morning to see Fergus up at Clandeboye. When I returned not the I finished putting the glazing rubbers onto the  aluminium frames.  Alison and I started to glaze the new greenhouse. We had the  glass from Gary so we cleaned each pane before setting them into place. We got 5 panes in before stopping for lunch. After lunch the rain came on and stopped production. I went into the potting shed and prepared 20 pots for taking Chrysanthemum cuttings. Our first Tulip was in flower this morning, A bicolour pink and yellow.
