2nd January
Another lovely day, lots of sun, plenty of cold and the odd shower.
I updated the Bangor Horticultural Society email list with New Year email this morning. I went and took a few photos at Groomsport.
Home and after lunch into the garden, a quick check around found no emergencies.
I did a few tidying things with the scented pelargoniums.
I checked the Meconopsis that I had put under the grow lights last evening and I think they looked a little happier.
I filled 6 pots with potting compost and Alison started transplanting her lettuce, 4 green and 2 red lettuce seedlings. I went up into the raspberry area and did another hour at the weeds.
Finished off in the back conservatory making more potting compost with added grit and vermiculite. I will make labels for the cyclamen seedlings.
Alison was able to get some red cabbage harvested today. Thanks to Monty Don for suggesting that one a few months ago.
Now I'm here doing this.
