3rd January
Another lovely bright day in the garden.
I started by pruning the Twisted Hazel, I have been doing this at this time for some years now. It keeps it under control. The first two pictures are before and the 3rd after the pruning.
When this was completed I went into the back and started once again on the many jobs needing done here. I did some weeding in the netted area and top dressed the next section ready for some more raspberries to be transplanted, a job for tomorrow. The photo shows the first two beds complete with Strulch mulching. More weeds for tomorrow
I spent some time in the potting shed, an old conservatory, and made some new potting compost. I cleared some pots and transplanted a few things. I discovered I had wrongly labeled some seedlings as coreopsis, should have been meconopsis, that's one of tomorrows jobs.
