New years day

NYD has dawned bright and sunny.

I got a lot done today, making best use of the sunshine.

I started by taking photos of anything flowering on 1st January 2021, photos below.

In the afternoon I continued with the transfer of the raspberry bed. I had prepared the new bed by mulching it with my own compost so I dug up the raspberry plants and planted them in the new bed, under the net cover.

I planted a Hippeastrum bought in Walkers Seeds in Newtownards on 31st December, it is now in the greenhouse.

I planted 3 cuttings from Scented Pelargonium "Reniform", taken from a plant that had been damaged in an accident.

I moved the Meconopsis seedlings into the greenhouse under the "grow lights" to see if it helps them. The grow lights have certainly helped the lettuce seedlings, they are getting to transplanting size.

The photos taken are here.
