Another wet start to the day. It rained all night, surely there must be an end to all this rain. The garden flooded this morning in places I have never seen flooded before. It has stopped now at 14:00 maybe I can get out.

The front flower bed

The back lawn outside the shed

One of the new raised beds

The back of the garden. I've never seen this wet before let alone

I did make it out into the garden this afternoon and was able to do a few things. Alison had braved the cold and wet and planted the Triteleia Laxa she had bought, Brodiaea. I thought they were too close so I planted half of them into another pot. So we have 2 pots covered with Strulch that can be moved around as we want to.

These should be good to see in a month or two.

We have them outside the greenhouse for now.

I then potted up some small Oak saplings that I had take from around the garden beds in the autumn. I hope some of these take.

A bit of a walk round the veg garden found a bit of Pigeon damage to a small overwintering cauliflower. I covered it with a bit of mesh as a temporary solution. I will net the bed soon.

The rain has started again, but the forecast is better for the weekend, cold and windy, but dry.
